Red
Conveying the timeless emotion of a fine wine, this cuvée is rooted in a tradition of excellence. It embodies a near-religious bond and a unique communion between nature’s elements, the soil and our vignerons’ passion.
VINES
This distinctive terroir swayed us with its exceptional richness and complexity. Terre Pourpre takes its name from the special composition of the soil, at 400 metres altitude. These plots consist of grey pebbles sitting on crimson surface soil and clay-rich subsoils.
VARIETIES
80% Grenache / 20% Mourvèdre.
VINIFICATION
The crop is destemmed then gravity-fed into vats. Vinification is a natural, traditional process in truncated oak vats.
AGEING
The wines are then aged for 18 months, in demi-muids (600 litres) or foudres.
TASTING NOTES
Its garnet-red hue heralds an amazingly fleshy, delectable wine. Oozing gorgeous black-cherry flavours, this is a subtly muscular, supple, super-ripe and terrifically velvety cuvée.
